Abstract

Javanese alphabet is one of the local wisdoms of the Indonesian people. However, many students do not know the writing of Javanese alphabet or its origin. The Language Agency continues to strive to carry out the mandate of the Act, namely prioritizing Indonesian as the State Language, preserving regional languages and mastering foreign languages. But the problem is not to be confused and Javanese alphabet as the local wisdom of the Indonesian people is not displaced by foreign culture. This study aims to create an educational game SARJO (jowo alphabet) equivalent to an Android-based fourth grade elementary school. The advantage of this educational game is that there is material that is equipped with animations, images and sounds that attract attention so that it can foster enthusiasm in learning. This study uses ADDIE development methods (analysis, development, design, implementation, evaluation). This media was tested on 3 media experts. The result is an average coefficient V of 0.85 which is declared valid. The results of the media expert's reliability test were 0.711 and stated that the reliability was strong. Meanwhile, it was tested on 3 accompanying teachers in elementary schools to get an average value of coefficient V of 0.86 which was declared valid. The results of the material expert reliability test obtained a value of 0.959 and declared perfect reliability. The results of the interpretation test of the percentage of tests carried out by 5 respondents or students obtained a percentage value of 64.5% which was included in the "Agree / Good / Like" category.
