Abstract
The choice of using panel walls as a substitute for conventional brick walls for wall pairs in a construction project is because the panel walls have high quality which can provide ease of work. The dimensions of this panel wall are thinner than conventional brick walls, so that in terms of shape it is more efficient and effective. This research is a development of previous research, therefore the research that will be carried out is to evaluate the strength of several research results regarding Styrofoam concrete panel walls. This study aims to determine the comparison of Styrofoam concrete panel walls without holes, holes, and holes with glass string fibers against bending loads and design moments. In this literature study analyzes three studies related to the review of the flexural strength of lightweight concrete panel walls using a mixture of Styrofoam with wiremesh reinforcement, a review of the flexural strength of Styrofoam perforated concrete panel walls with wiremesh reinforcement and a mixture of fly ash and a review of the flexural strength of a Styrofoam perforated concrete panel wall with a mixture of fly ash. and glass string fiber with wiremesh reinforcement. In the study, it was stated that the concrete uses the SCC (Self Compacting Concrete) method and the wall panels use wiremesh reinforcement with a diameter of 3.5 mm, spacing of 50 mm. The results of the analysis of the maximum flexural load obtained from the three studies are Styrofoam concrete panel walls without holes have the highest maximum load at 50% and 60% mixture percentage, at 50% mixture percentage the maximum load value is 11500 N and 60% mixture percentage is 7700 N. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the maximum load value of the non-perforated concrete panel wall is higher because the hole weakens the flexural strength so that the compressive area becomes smaller or decreases. The results of the design moment at a mixture percentage of 50% and 60% were obtained for the added material of Styrofoam for non-perforated concrete panel walls which had the highest value of 2.37 kNm with a mixture percentage of 50%, while the percentage of 60% yielded 2.29 kNm. The compressive strength of concrete affects the design moment more than the hole.
