Abstract

Problematic is a problem that occurs and demands changes and improvements. This study aims to describe the problems in the learning process of Islamic religious education at Al-Hadi Islamic Junior High School, Sukoharjo Regency and efforts to overcome them in Al-Hadi Islamic Junior High School, Sukoharjo Regency. The type of research conducted by the researcher is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects are teachers and students. While the data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation, then the data were analyzed through correlational analysis. Data analysis in the study is inductive. The results showed that the problems in the learning process of Islamic religious education at Al-Hadi Islamic Junior High School in Sukoharjo Regency were students who could not read Arabic script, low student interest in learning, communication with students, lack of effectiveness in teaching and learning. While the efforts or methods made by the school and PAI teachers in overcoming and dealing with these problems have held a special program for students to learn to read the Qur'an, the school has held additional hours, provided directions for students to participate in BTA activities, built communication with students in the learning process, monitor students through Yaumi's practice.
