Abstract

Children and divorced parents self disclosure is an essential factor in a family, the condition of the children and parents after the parents divorce is possibly worse if the children and parents don't open up their feelings and thoughts, thus the children and parents get to give themselves a chance to open up about the parents divorce in order to remake the harmony. The purpose of this research is to know self disclosure between children and divorced parents about parents divorce. The theory used in this study is 4 concentric circles from Adler and Rodman, which discuss the depth of information and self disclosure in a relationship. This research is a descriptive qualitative type by using semi structural and thorough interview technique to collect data. The result of this research shows the presence of self disclosure from children and divorced parents about parents divorce, and it includes the initiation of conversation, children and parents talk by spoke up about their feelings and created good condition after parents divorce, and showing self disclosure to each other that characterize the present of intimate relationship between children and divorced parents.
