Abstract
The role of the Komatsu PC-200-7 Excavator unit in an industrial environment relies heavily on undercarriage components. That is because it affects the performance of the excavator. If the undercarriage component is damaged, the productivity of the excavator will decrease during operation. Then intensive and scheduled maintenance is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of wear on the Komatsu PC-200-7 Excavator Undercarriage component, determine the prediction of remaining life in the Komatsu PC-200-7 Undercarriage Excavator component, and determine the RPN value of the Undercarriage component in the Komatsu PC-200-7 Excavator. In this study the method used to analyze the percentage of wear and prediction of remaining life on the idler, sprocket, and track link components is the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method. By setting the value of severity, occurrence, and detection to get the value of RPN (Risk Priority Number). The RPN value is obtained from the multiplication results of the three values. The results of this study obtained the percentage of wear of the sprocket component has a wear rate of 60%, 50% idler component, and 37.5% track link component for 750 hours of work hours. The results obatained predictions the remaining life of the 480 hour sprocket component, 456 hour track link component, and 340 hour idler component. Then get the RPN value of each component is 512 for idler components, 343 track link components, and 216 for sprocket components.
