An induction motor is a type of alternating current (AC) electric motor which has two types of induction motors, namely one-phase and three-phase. Single-phase induction motors are very commonly used, one of which is the water pump used in households. In its use, the temperature rise must be considered to ensure the level of safety for its users. Most of the temperature measurement used the thermocouple method but using this method is difficult and many obstacles are found in the installation of the thermocouple on the windings of the induction motor. So the authors raised a pattern to analyze the effect of changing the source voltage on the winding temperature of a single-phase induction motor with the resistance method and temperature measurement with an infrared thermometer. The value measurement is carried out when the induction motor is given a different source voltage and with a different time duration. Then from the resistance value is converted into an increase in temperature of the motor winding. And testing using an infrared thermometer is there a difference with the results of the resistance method. It is expected from this research whether it is in line with the standard SNI IEC 60335-1: 2009 which regulates electronic equipment.
