Abstract
Hypertension is called the silent killer because it is often found without complaints, so patients do not realize that they have hypertension and are usually only discovered after experiencing complications. Complicated hypertension can affect the patient's quality of life, the high and low quality of life of the patient is influenced by self-efficacy. Therefore, it is important to measure self-efficacy in hypertensive patients to improve hypertension control in hypertensive patients with complications. The method used is descriptive quantitative with descriptive cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at Pajang Health Center Surakarta. The sampling technique in this research is using purposive sampling technique with a total of 50 respondents. Data collection was carried out directly by using a self-efficacy questionnaire in patients with hypertension. This study used single data or univariate analysis, namely self-efficacy in patients with hypertension with complications. The results of this study were as many as 30 people (60%) had low self-efficacy while 20 people (40%) had high self-efficacy. The conclusion in this study, self-efficacy in patients with hypertension who have complications tends to be low.
