Abstract
This study aims to describe the process, effectiveness, constraints and solutions for the use of the Reading Guide strategy with the Quiz Team combination to improve understanding of the values of Indonesian Unity in Youth of the Youth Organization in Babadan Village, Pangkur District, Ngawi Regency in 2020. This study uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. (mixing methods). The qualitative approach design uses case studies, while the quantitative uses pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest Posttest Design. Qualitative data collection techniques using in-depth interviews and observations. Quantitative data collection using tests. The validity of the qualitative data used source and technique triangulation, while the validity of the quantitative data used the test instrument validity test in this study using the Correlation Product Moment formula, rough numbers and the reliability test of the test instrument using the KR.20 formula. The data analysis in the qualitative approach used interactive analysis, while the quantitative approach used the T-Test. The results showed that tcount 9.747 was greater than ttable 2.086 with a significance level of 0.05. The pretest average score increased to 44.28 to 79.99 in the posttest. Based on these results it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed by Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in understanding the values of Indonesian Unity between before (Pretest) and after being given treatment (Posttest) using the strategy. Reading Guide for the combination of the Quiz Team for Youth in Babadan Village, Pangkur District, Ngawi Regency in 2020. The obstacles faced in this study are mainly limited time related to the implementation of the research. An alternative solution to overcome the obstacle is that the researcher arrives earlier than the research schedule and must be good at managing time well. The conclusion above implies that if you want to improve your understanding of the values of the Indonesian Unity, then one of the alternatives is through the socialization model using the Team Quiz Combination Reading Guide strategy.
