Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Budget Deficit, Foreign Exchange Reserves, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Bank Indonesia Certificate (SBI) interest rates and Inflation on Foreign Debt in Indonesia in 1995-2019. The dependent variable in this study is Indonesia's External Debt, while the independent variable is budget deficit, foreign exchange reserves, FDI, SBI interest rates and inflation. To see the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable, researchers tested using multiple linear regression analysis with the PAM (Partial Adjustment Model) method. The data used in this research is secondary data. The results show that Foreign Exchange Reserves and FDI have a positive and significant effect in the short and long term, while the Foreign Exchange Budget, SBI interest rates, and inflation do not significantly affect Foreign Debt in Indonesia.
