Abstract

This study aims to determine the success and creative economic strategies obtained by the Batik Kunayah business. This type of research is qualitative with ethnographic design. There are three informant in obtaining datain the Batik Kunayah business namely, Mrs. Kunayah as the owner of the Batik Kunayah business, Mrs. Suryah Puji Hastuti as an employee of the Batik Kunayah business for the natural coloring section, then Mrs. Ari Ngadinah as an employee of the Batik Kunayah business for the basic pattern of batik. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity techniques using triangulation techniques and sources. Data analysis techniques using data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The resultof the study show that: 1) Success in the development of the batik industry is carried out through two stages namely, the first stage of a strategy for the success of the Batik Kunayah business in implementing the creative economy with creativity factors in advertising, fashion, and batik crafts. 2) There are threenobstacles to the Batik Kunayah business during the pandemic namely, first the lack of of consumer interest, secondly the inhibition of the distribution sector, and thirdly there is a significant economic decline in developing the Batik Kunayah business.
