Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning techniques used by teachers, describe the techniques used, explain the role of teachers and students in teaching and learning activities during a pandemic like this, the impact on teachers and explain the teacher's solutions in solving problems faced during learning activities during a pandemic. The subject of this research is the 7th grade English teacher of SMP 2 Colomadu. Method of collecting data was taken from observation, interviews. The data in this study are reading teaching techniques during a pandemic, the role of the teacher, the role of students and solutions from the teacher. The technique for analyzing data is data parsing. The results of the research are the techniques used by teachers in teaching reading comprehension during a pandemic. The technique used to make it easier for students to understand English lessons online, and make it easier for students to develop their abilities and increase their knowledge. There are two problems faced by teachers, namely the lack of understanding of the internet and student motivation. The solution made by the teacher is to provide subject matter that is easily understood by students and increase student interest in learning during a pandemic in online learning activities.
