Abstract

In times of pandemic like this, washing hands with soap is an essential part of the health defense chain. The habit of washing hands with soap can reduce the transmission of Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19). In addition to washing hands, they are namely checking body temperature before entering public places. Body temperature gauges and automatic hand sanitizers function to determine body temperature and clean hands to make them more accessible and more practical to use. HC-SR04 as a proximity sensor measures the movement of objects perpendicularly, both regular straight distances and irregular straight distances. This test utilizes one microcontroller, with Arduino Mega 2560 as the microcontroller. The results of the first test are a body temperature detector that uses the MLX90614 sensor. It can detect the object's temperature by displaying the results of the object temperature reading on the 16x2 LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen. In contrast, the second test results of the HC-SR04 sensor readings will be processed by Arduino Mega 2560. The sensor reads, then the data is sent again to the Arduino to drive the DC (Direct Current) water pump, then the way the hand dryer works is the same as the DC water pump. The advantage of this tool is that it can work automatically to find out the object's body temperature results and detect the hand you want to clean using the device. The average error is around 2.47% from the tests carried out, with the use of soap being the most significant error, which is about 7%. This tool is expected to make it easier to check body temperature, clean hands, and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
