Abstract

The choice of research location in Brebes District was because the areas most affected by the tidal flood disaster were the areas on the coast of Brebes Regency. The area has a high vulnerability to tidal flooding, especially physical and social vulnerability. Physical and social vulnerability assessments are based on direct conditions in the field where physical vulnerability can be viewed from the density of buildings which can be seen from remote sensing images. Judging from the remote sensing image, Brebes District has a fairly dense building density because in that area many buildings are used for home industries, livestock, and also residential settlements. The density of buildings in Brebes District allows physical vulnerability to occur which includes damage to buildings and facilities. general, and damage to strategic areas. This study aims to analyze the level of physical, social and regional vulnerability to tidal flooding. The method used is using quantitative methods, for data collection itself this research uses primary and secondary data obtained by making direct and indirect observations, direct observation is carried out by collecting data in the form of the number of building levels and also the type of building material while for indirect observation with delineation using imagery. The results of this study indicate that the highest level of social and physical vulnerability occurs in Kaliwlingi Village, this is because Kaliwlingi Village has a high value on 3 parameters of social vulnerability, namely gender ratio, age group ratio and poverty ratio. high because Kaliwlingi Village has the most number of buildings, namely 1617 buildings with high vulnerability values in building material parameters and also building floors.
