Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the values of moral education in surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17 (a comparative study of Ibn Kaṡīr's tafsīr and al-Azhār's tafsīr), to know the similarities and differences as well as the implications of moral education values contained in surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17 in contemporary life. This research is useful for adding scientific insight in the fields of education, religion and reading materials, especially those related to interpretive research. This thesis is a library research, which is research whose main object is library books, articles, scientific journals and other literatures as the object of analysis. The primary data sources are the tafsīr of Ibn Kaṡīr and the tafsīr al-Azhār. This research approach uses the tafsīr muqāran method, which is to compare the tafsīr of Ibn Kaṡīr and the tafsīr al-Azhār regarding surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17. This comparison will show the similarities and differences. Then the researcher will conclude the points which are the values of moral education. The results showed that the scope of moral education values in surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17 (comparative study of Ibn Kaṡīr's tafsīr and tafsīr al-Azhār) is divided into 3 parts. First: Morals to Allah, including; faith, Raja'(hope), pray, gratitude and repent. Second: personal morals, including; istiqamah and syaja'ah (brave). Third: Morals in the family, including; birr al-Wālidaīn. The similarities between the interpretation of Ibn Kaṡīr and Hamka are that they both use the tafsīr ar-Riwāyah method. Meanwhile, the difference between the interpretation of Ibn Kaṡīr and Hamka is that Ibn Kaṡīr is a mufasir who in his interpretation tends to tafsir bi al-Ma'ṡūr, while Hamka is a mufasir who in his interpretation has a pattern between riwayah and dirayah. This is because Hamka maintains a good relationship between naqal and aqal. The implications of the values of moral education contained in surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17 (comparative study of tafsīr Ibn Kaṡīr and tafsīr al-Azhār) in modern life include commitment to believe in Allah, encouragement to be istiqamah, syaja'ah, birr al- Wālidaīn and raja'. in addition to the encouragement to pray, be thankful, and repent. in surah al-Ahqāf verses 13-17 are mentioned several strategies to inculcate the values of moral education (comparative study of tafsīr Ibn Kaṡīr and tafsīr al-Azhār) in modern life including cultivating the values of faith in Allah, istiqamah, syaja'ah, birr al-Wālidaīn, prayer, gratitude, repentance and raja'.
