Abstract

This study aims to describe the use, effectiveness, constraints, and solutions to the use of the Information Search strategy in combination with the Quizizz game media to improve the understanding of Indonesian democratic values in class XI TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 1 Sragen in the academic year 2020/2021. This type of research uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches (Mixing Methods). The quantitative research design used Pre-experimental with One Group Pretest Posttest Design, while the qualitative research used case studies. Quantitative data collection techniques using tests, while qualitative with observations and interviews. Test the validity of quantitative data collection instruments (in the form of tests) using the Product Moment correlation formula with rough numbers. Test the reliability of the test instrument with the KR 20 formula. The validity of the qualitative data uses the credibility test of the type of triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis in qualitative uses flow model analysis, while in quantitative uses Paired Sample T-test. The normality test of the research data used Liliefors by calculating the pretest and posttest scores. The results showed that the average value of the pretest 17.75 increased to 56.25 in the posttest. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed by Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference in understanding of the values of Indonesian democracy between before (Pretest) and after being treated (Posttest) using the Information Search strategy combination of Quizizz game media in class XI students. TKJ 2 SMK Negeri 1 Sragen for the academic year 2020/2021. The obstacle faced in this research is the limited time related to the implementation of the research. An alternative solution to overcome these obstacles is that researchers must be good at managing time well. The conclusion above implies that if the teacher wants to increase students' understanding of the values of Indonesian democracy, it is very appropriate to use the Information Search strategy in combination with the Quizizz game media.
