Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the role of Islamic investment ethics in preventing investment bodong according to religious experts, investment experts, and law enforcement. The research method used is qualitative research that is normative-empirical. Primary data sources obtained through interviews to religious experts, investment experts and law enforcement as well as secondary data sources of this research obtained from various literature on the role of Islamic investment ethics in preventing investment bodong. The results showed that the role of Islamic investment ethics in preventing investment bodong such as avoiding usury, gharar, maysir, using the principle of "Al-Ghunm bi Al-Ghurm" which means profit or income earned balanced with losses incurred, as well as using the principle of prudence in making investments. In this study, there is a need for education for the public related to investments related to usury, ghara, maysir, and the commonality between risk and profit and the need for prudential principles before making investments so that there is no case for bodong investment.
