Abstract
This study aims to identify forms and lingual markers on hoax news that focus on its title on social media. Sources of research data are news on social media with a focus on titles such as on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Data collection uses the method of documentation, listen, and record. Data analysis used intralingual equivalence. The results showed that the forms of speech acts included 58 data of assertive speech acts, 16 directive data, 13 declarative data, 9 expressive data, 6 commissive data, and 6 rogative data. Lingual markers obtained in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. The character strengthening in prophetic is categorized into three prophetic pillars, namely the transcendence pillar as much as 26%, the humanization pillar as much as 31%, and the liberation pillar as much as 43%. Discourse entitled hoax news can be implemented in high school students through the acquired prophetic values such as justice, faith, tolerance, welfare among others, conscientious attitude, and others.
