Abstract
Currently, all work always uses electrical equipment. It is known that the current source of power generation still uses non-renewable natural energy sources (petroleum, coal). A power plant design is carried out to overcome natural energy resources due to the motorcycle/speed bump. This research intends to create a renewable alternative energy source tool by utilizing the press results from motor vehicles. The method used in this study is to use a speed bump to generate electrical energy with a compressive force system from a motor vehicle. This tool can generate DC voltage electricity from the rotation of a DC motor, which rotates due to the compression force of a passing motorized vehicle. Then the voltage is channeled to the charger controller. The buck-boost converter circuit is used as a stabilizer for the output voltage of the generator. Battery charging and load usage will later be regulated using the charger controller. The inverter is used to convert DC voltage (direct) into AC voltage (alternating) and battery to store electrical power from this generator circuit. The results of testing using a Yamaha Jupiter Z motor with an empty weight of 97 kg and a rider load of 68 kg obtained a voltage between 12 Vdc-16 Vdc and a generator rotation speed of 30-90 Rpm. Meanwhile, when given the burden of the accumulator/battery weighing 1.2 kg, the resulting voltage is an average of 14.7 Vdc. The current flowing is 0.15 A. Charging the battery takes 23.3 hours.
