Abstract

Every childhood is required to have a proper, structured and competen education. Children are a golden age that is very easy for the formation of a superior personality and character. There are 3 kinds of learning media, namely audio, visual and audio visual. Media will really encourage children to continue practicing, learning, telling stories reading and chatting and self-motivated children's interest in learning. Purpose: It is expected that the use of leaming through audio-visual media can affect the improvement of children's language intelligence. Methods: The search method for journal data sources is carried out through the databases of the National Library of Indonesia, PMC, Ebsco, ProQuest and Google Scholar (2015-2020) to retrieve relevant journals published in English and Indonesian. and keyword phrases related to language development, audio-visual, early childhood used in the search for related topics. The design of the study used a Literature Review Abstract or the full text of the journal that was reviewed before being included in the review according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results : The results of the literature review indicate that audiovisualbased media can be used to improve early childhood language skills, besides that it can also be used as a good medium in introducing communication to children, reading and understanding learning, while for the implementation of the method Audiovisuals are influenced by parents, teachers and learning materials as well as learning methods through sight (visual) and also hearing (audio) which accelerate the absorption of students to understand the lessons delivered and help relieve parents and teachers (educators). Conclusion: The application of the Audiovisual Method is expected to serve as an assistive medium for teachers and parents in introducing language to early childhood.
