Abstract

For religious education institutions, both Islamic boarding schools and madrasah, the material of tahfidz Al Qur'an is an inseparable content because it is a competency which is one of the characteristics of the originality of religious science which is mastered by students either partially understanding the existing verses, letters or themes. with the aim and aim of lowering the religion of Islam. Every educational institution, both Islamic boarding schools and madrasah that have great attention to tahfidz Al Qur'an will compete and continue to improve the quality of their tahfidz learning models to be the best among existing educational institutions.The period of the Covid-19 pandemic is a time full of obstacles and challenges beyond the time that has been passed by educational institutions both schools, madrasah and Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and the world. With the existing obstacles, it requires educational institutions that want to exist to survive to make innovations and breakthroughs in the field of education (learning).Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Karanganyar and Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah Muhammadiyah (MIM) Margomulyo Matesih are two of the many educational institutions that held educational innovations in learning tahfidz Al Qur'an during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.This research, which takes the object of two educational institutions, namely MIM Karanganyar and MIM Margomulyo Matesih, it’s a qualitative research which is characterized by both library research and field research, which means that all data obtained refers to both written data sources and field data. , in the form of books, manuscripts, articles and documents relevant to the research as well as the results of interviews and field observations. The research was conducted with a phenomena approach (the Covid-19 pandemic). Furthermore, the analysis method is carried out with a qualitative analysis method approach, which is specifically looking for correlation, coherence, and relevance between the data obtained, so that it brings up conclusions that are in accordance with the expected objectives.This research shows that the tahfidz learning model at MIM Karanganyar and MIM Margomulyo is a blended learning model between online and offline.From the research results it was found that for learning, especially tahfidz Al Qur'an for elementary level students (MI / SD) who do not have good basic reading skills, learning with a full online system is less effective, the solution is blended learning / hybrid (a mixture of online and offline) use voice notes / MP3 chunks of letters, verses and even pronunciation if necessary, accompanied by a video tutorial for pronouncing the correct pronunciation of chunks of letters, verses and even pronunciation that are easy for students to follow. When the pandemic subsides (yellow zone) then the percentage of face-to-face learning is limited to 70%.
