Abstract

Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is caused by a severe acute respiratory syndrome, namely coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Covid-19 resulted in a global health emergency and has claimed more than 375,000 lives worldwide and infected more than 6.2 million people. Smoking can have a bad impact on health, especially vital organs such as the lungs and heart. This study aims to analyze the effects of smoking on people with Covid-19. This research is a literature review study. The data obtained is secondary data, namely the results of research that has been conducted by previous researchers. Secondary sources of data were obtained in the form of international journal articles. Literature search in this literature review uses three databases, namely Pubmed, Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The combined data were obtained from 3 databases totaling 550. Then duplication screening, title review, and abstract were obtained. 92 journals were obtained. Then eliminated based on the inclusion criteria, there were 5 journals that had been analyzed critically. Smoking habits can have a worse outcome for people with Covid-19. and smoking habits in sufferers of Covid-19 can influence sufferers to reduce and even stop smoking.
