Abstract

Pacitan Regency has an uneven distribution of educational facilities. Problems related to the availability of educational facilities, not to mention the problem of affordability considering the area of Pacitan Regency reaches 1,390 km^2. Certainly not a small area to reach with 66 schools that are not evenly distributed in Pacitan Regency. So that in some places there are many high school and vocational students who are forced to use motorbikes as a means of transportation to school even though they do not have a driving license (SIM). This has always been a social conflict where on the one hand there are constitutional rules for driving, and the absence of adequate transportation to support teaching and learning activities. Therefore, equal distribution of educational facilities needs to be realized. This study discusses the affordability of educational facilities that aim to: (1). Analyzing the distribution of education facilities for SMA/SMK/MA in Pacitan Regency in 2019 (2). Analyzing the affordability of education facilities for SMA/SMK/MA in Pacitan Regency in 2019. The method used in this study was a survey supported by secondary data analysis. The survey was conducted to determine the location of the school building and its distribution. For data analysts, the analysis was used to explain the distribution pattern of the points of location by using calculations that took into account the distance, number of location points and the area of the area with the formula used in NNA (Nearest Nearest Neighbor Analysis) and the buffer method to determine the affordability of educational facilities. The results of this study are 1) The pattern of distribution of educational facilities at the SMA/SMK/MA level in Pacitan Regency mostly has a random pattern of distribution following the settlement pattern which is also random. 2) Based on the buffer method, it was found that most of the educational facilities at the SMA/SMK/MA level in Pacitan Regency reached almost every existing village. However, the existing facilities have not been able to reach the existing settlements in each District. Pringkuku, Donorojo, Bandar, and Nawangan sub-districts are sub- districts with low access to housing facilities. Meanwhile, Pacitan sub-district is a sub-district where most of the residential areas are already affordable.
