Abstract
This study aims to describe the effects of: (1) learning motivation on student achievement, (2) peer environment on student achievement, and (3) the influence of motivation and peer environment on student achievement. This research uses quantitative methods. This research conducted in the village of Tegal Tempel Gatak sukoharjo. The research sample was 57 respondents with saturated sampling technique. The data collection method used a quisionnaire. The preresquisite analysis used the normality test, liniearity and multicoloniearity, while the data analysis technique used the t test, F test, multiple liniearity regresision and effective contribution (SE) and relative contribution (SR). The results showed that: (1) Learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. This shows that the influence of motivation on learning achievement is do to many other factors that have a greater influence. Learning achievement in this study is measured by the student’s report card scores. As recognized by the teacher in the field, the assessment focuses on the final result in the from of the value obtained from the exam results, and is based on student motivation which is part of the learning process; (2) the peer environment has a positive and significant effect on student achievement. This shows that a conducive peer environment has a positive effect on the value of learning acvhievement, a positive peer environment can make peers as students, study patners; (3) Motivation and peer environment have a positive and significant effect on lerning achievement. This shows that the awarens of student learning motivation and conducive peer environment can have an effect on improving student learning achievement.
