Abstract

Mathematics is defined as a discipline that has a crucial role in the development of the world of knowledge, technology and education. Mathematics has been linked to the study of abstract shapes so that it requires objects or props in critical areas become more real and obvious. The development of science and technology (IPTEK) has been developed in education, one of which is the mathematics learning media based on Telegram Bot. The purpose of this research is to develop Telegram Bot as learning media on the material of polyhedron on the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Toroh. The types of research used are Research and Development (R&D) and ADDIE research methods (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The analytical phase of this research is analyzing the current curriculum, the materials, and needs of the students. The next step is planning for the preparation of the learning media and determining the purpose of it. The development phase of learning media is validated by materials experts, media experts, and learning practitioners. After the learning media is declared valid, the next phase is implementation with student wrothiness tests. Based on the implementation phase, then comes the evaluation phase to correct or revise the product if needed. The valid development of learning media is used with validation results by the materials experts obtained an average score of 4.145 in valid categories, while the validation from a media expert achieves an average score of 4.205 in highly valid categories and validation of learning practitioners comes an average score of 4.73 in highly valid categories and results from a high-valid assessment of student obtained, an average of 4.554 in the highly qualified categories.
