Abstract
The condition of adolescents who are vulnerable to various reproductive health problems so that accurate information is needed in order to improve the quality of adolescents to prevent various threats and problems of adolescent reproductive health. PIK-R is a government effort to help adolescents obtain accurate information related to adolescent health. However, youth involvement in the PIK-R program is still low. One of the factors influencing this involvement is access to adolescent reproductive health information. This study aims to determine the relationship between access to reproductive health information and youth involvement in the PIK-R program at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo. This type of research is analytic observational with a case control study design. The research sample in this study amounted to 120 respondents consisting of 40 case group respondents and 80 control group respondents who were selected using frequency matching techniques based on gender and class. Data collection was carried out using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test and the Mantel Haenszel Chi Square test. The results showed that there was no relationship between access to adolescent reproductive health information with adolescent involvement in the PIK-R program at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo with a p-value = 0.651 p-value > α 0.05) and an OR value of 1.287 (95% CI 0.599 – 2.766). Based on the stratification analysis of Mantel Haenszel, it shows that gender and class variables are not confounding variables in the relationship between access to adolescent reproductive health information and youth involvement in the PIK-R program at SMAN 3 Sukoharjo. There is a need for further analysis using other research variables on youth involvement in the PIK-R program.
