Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the use of language variations on the Instagram account @Soloinfo social network, (2) describe the types of sentences on the Instagram account @ Soloinfo social network, and (3) describe the implementation of research results on Indonesian language learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data used in this study are in the form of captions (photo captions) and videos that are converted into a series of sentences. The data source in this study is from the social media Instagram account @Soloinfo. The data collection technique used was the observation and note technique, while the data analysis technique used the split and match methods. The results of this study were found (1) the use of language variations, among others (a) language variations in terms of speakers including dialects, idiolects, chronicles and sociology, (b) language variations in terms of usage, namely journalistic language variations, and (c) language variations of the formality aspect includes the official variety, the business variety, and the casual variety. (2) the types of sentences used are in the form of: (a) 31 sentences of declarative sentences, (b) 7 interrogative sentences, (c) 19 imperative sentences, and (d) 2 exlamative sentences. (3) the implementation of the results of this study as learning Indonesian for grade VII, namely KD 3.4, examining the structure and language of the narrative text (imaginary stories) that are read and heard, and also in KD 4.4. presents creative ideas in the form of oral and written imaginative stories with attention to structure, language use, or oral aspects.This study aims to (1) describe the use of language variations on the Instagram account @Soloinfo social network, (2) describe the types of sentences on the Instagram account @ Soloinfo social network, and (3) describe the implementation of research results on Indonesian language learning.
