Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the village head in overcoming juvenile delinquency in Sumberagung Village, Klego District, Boyolali Regency. This research is located in Sumberagung Village, Klego District, Boyolali Regency, with data collection methods using observation, interviews, and documentation. This study describes: 1) a description of juvenile delinquency in Sumberagung village; 2) the role of the village head in overcoming juvenile delinquency in Sumberagung village; and 3) obstacles faced in overcoming juvenile delinquency in Sumberagung village. Data analysis using an interactive analysis model includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the description of juvenile delinquency in Sumberagung Village is in the form of fights between adolescents, cases of theft, smoking, lying, watching porn videos and speeding on the street. Efforts made by the village head in overcoming juvenile delinquency are by holding regular recitation sessions every week, improving sports facilities and infrastructure. For juvenile delinquency that violates the law, the village head collaborates with the police to take action against adolescents who commit acts of violation of the law, while for delinquency that is considered mild, the village head collaborates with teenage parents to always provide advice and guidance to adolescents so as not to commit delinquency again. The obstacles faced in overcoming juvenile delinquency are constraints from family and from peers.
