Abstract

Investing in the capital market is a popular from of investment in Indonesia. In the capital market, stock prices are driven by supply and demand. Financial performance of a company is one of importent parameters for investor to assess a company shares. By analyzing the company’s financial performance, investor can find out whether it is good to invest on that company shares or not. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact to financial performance to the price movement of stock, especially banking company’s stock, by calculating the Capital Audequacy Ratio (CAR) and Return On Equity (ROE). The data sample was taken with purposive sampling and there are 24 samples of banking companies that listed on Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) between 2017 – 2019 and matched with the expert’s criteria. The financial report of each sample companies is used as the main data for analyze with multiple linear method and classic assumption test. The result shows that CAR variable doesn’t have significant impact on the stock price movement, however the ROE variable give a significant impact.
