Abstract
Background: Vigilance and preparedness of rural communities against dangers and hazards that can cause health problems such as disasters and disease outbreaks, it is necessary to increase the capacity and willingness of rural communities to help themselves in the health sector. To increase community awareness of mental disorders, the DSSJ (Desa Siaga Sehat Jiwa) program was held. The preparations start with area mapping, outreach to community leaders, selecting mental health cadre candidates, early detection, training for student cadres, implementing the role of cadres, monitoring and evaluation. The preparation was attended by CMHN nurses, midwives, local health cadres, and community leaders. So that the realization of a village with a community that is healthy, caring, and responsive to health problems such as disasters and health emergencies. Purpose: to see the description, preparation, preparation, mental health alert village program. Participants in this study were 5 people consisting of 2 health cadres, 1 community, 2 health workers. This type of research is qualitative. Methods: the study used a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The research instrument used in this research is in-depth interviews with in-depth interviews or in-depth interviews. The data analysis used open-ended questions regarding the preparation of the DSSJ program. Result: shows that the preparation of the DSSJ program was carried out in accordance with the facts of the DSSJ.
