Abstract

Changes in land use that occur in the district of Sukoharjo are still incompatible with the Spatial Plan that has been made and stipulated by the Sukoharjo Regency government in the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) 2011. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the suitability of land use against the RTRW of Sukoharjo Regency. The purpose of this study is to determine changes in land use, evaluate the suitability of land use in Sukoharjo Regency against the Regional Spatial Plan, and analyze land uses that are appropriate, unsuitable, and unsuitable for the Sukoharjo Regency Spatial Plan in 2011 and 2019. The method used In this study, survey / field observation and secondary data analysis, sampling using purposive sampling technique, and analyzing spatial data through geographic information systems, namely overlay, re-interpretation, and evaluation of land use suitability. The research conducted shows that the results of changes in land use over a period of 9 years are greater than conversion to industrial land, settlements, and non- agricultural land use with a large change of about 0.372% or 174.86 Ha. Evaluation of land use suitability of 41129.77 Ha or 88.14% is suitable, 5162.9 Ha or 11.06% is not suitable, and 373.33 Ha or 0.80% is not in accordance with the Sukoharjo Regency Spatial Plan.
