Abstract

This study aims to frame the online media Kompas.com against abortion and the draft RKUHP on abortion. This research is motivated by the pros and cons of abortion in society. This study uses the Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M.Kosicki model framing analysis by using the type of news, namely, regional news, international news and draft news draft RKUHP. With the types of syntactic, script, thematic and rhetorical research. Data collection was carried out by collecting news about abortion in the online media Kompas.om for the period March 2018 - September 2019. The results of this study show that Kompas frames the abortion phenomenon according to its humanistic ideology, this is obtained from the first analysis, namely, syntax shows the response to abortion by officials . Second, the structure of the script further emphasizes the side of who gave the response and the causes and effects of the abortion. Third, the thematic structure shows the repetition of the explanation of the article. Fourth, the rhetorical structure emphasizes the photos of officials who have the authority over the act of abortion.
