Abstract
Diarrhea often occurs in toddlers, the two factors that cause diarrhea come from the development of Rotavirus and Escherichia coli bacteria from environmental sanitation. The quality of the environment is good, so the development of Rotavirus and Escherichia coli bacteria is also getting smaller. This literature review aims to determine the relationship between environmental factors and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five. The six journals in the literature review were downloaded through the Garuda Journal index website, Google Schoolar, and Pubmed with the keywords Environmental factors related to diarrhea in children under five, Environmental factors with diarrhea from children. The ISSN journal inclusion criteria, indexed in Sinta and Scimago, use a Cross Sectional and Case Control approach. The method used is to summarize the journal, analyze, and draw conclusions. The results in the six journals obtained, four of the six journals show that there is a relationship between the availability of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five. Five of the six journals show that there is a relationship between human waste disposal facilities and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers, the variable availability of Wastewater is the most influential with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five because the six journals show that there is a relationship with the incidence of diarrhea. Three out of five journals show that there is a relationship between the availability of trash cans with the incidence of diarrhea. The availability of sewerage that does not meet the requirements has a 37 times greater risk of developing diarrhea. The conclusion in the literature review is that the factors that influence the incidence of diarrhea in children under five are the availability of clean water, the availability of human waste disposal facilities, and the availability of waste water disposal facilities. There are suggestions for the community to always maintain the cleanliness
