Abstract
Surakarta city located on the Java island, Central Java Province, Indonesia. Infrastructure is needed in the city to accommodate the increasing number of tourists especially in the form of hotels. Pile foundations consist of a number of piles connected by a pile cap. The driven piles are a type of construction foundation that is used with great frequency. In this research, Design of driven pile foundation of a 12-story hotel building in Surakarta, required is determining the axial load subjected to the piles from the columns of a 12-story hotel building and thereby determining the safest design of piles in a group to with stand the load from the hotel building. The analysis is limited to only manual calculation design of Driven concrete piles. The minimum factor of safety considered is 3. The soil data is from the field testing for the design of a hotel in Surakarta city. The following software is used: Microsoft Office 2016, AutoCAD 2017 and SAP 2000 V20. The analysis of the bearing capacity of a single pile is based on N SPT (Mayerhof) data at depth of 2 m below the soil surface. At the optimum depth of 22m, the allowable bearing capacity Pa = 2211.68 KN which is safe. The axial load Pu is obtained from SAP 2000 output= 13609.8 KN. After obtaining the efficiency of pile group =0.677, the used number of piles is 10. Pile reinforcements with is a total longitudinal reinforcement 7D13. For Shear reinforcement used shear reinforcement 2dp10 – 180. For the Pile Cap pile cap is safe against one way shear and two-way shear stress. Pile cap reinforcement x direction, the bar diameter is 22mm and therefore, As= D22-200. And the dived reinforcement on top, As’=D16-90. Pile cap reinforcement y direction, As= D22-175. In conclusion, the analysis of the bearing capacity of a single pile is based on N SPT (Mayerhof) method. For the maximum load on each pile in the pile group, each pile will experience compressive force or tension because it accepts axial loads and moments contained at the lower end of the column of a frame distributed on the pile cap and the pile group with the assumption that the rigid pile cap is perfect so that it does not curved and deform. In designing the pile reinforcement, due to transportation resulting in a bending moment on the pile, longitudinal reinforcement and shear reinforcement must be considered.
