Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explain: 1) the effect of knowing whether there is an effect of parental income on the consumptive behavior of boarding school students in Pabelan, 2) the effect of parental income on consumptive behavior of boarding school students in Pabelan, 3) the effect of the number of siblings. Child against Consumptive Behavior in Pabelan Boarding School, 4) Knowing whether there is an effect of Parental Income, Gender, and Number of Siblings of Boarding School students in Pabelan. . this is a causal cpmparative study research with a population of 100 students. Data sampling was obtained by using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was performed using multiple regression techniques, t-test, F-test, coefficient of determination (R2), 1) The results showed that parents' income had an effect on consumptive behavior at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. 2) The results showed that Gender has an effect on Consumptive Behavior at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. 3) The results showed that the number of siblings had an effect on consumptive behavior at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. From the calculation results, the result value is 17.265, and a significant Fcount value is 0.000 <0.05 with the Surakarta Determination Coefficient (R2) of 0.405, this means that the independent variables in the model (Parental Income, Gender and Number of Siblings) Kandung) explains that the variation of Consumptive Behavior at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is 40.5% and 59.5% is explained by other factors or variables outside the model.
