Abstract

The construction sector is one type of work with a high risk of work manual handling . The risk of work manual handling is one of the effects of fatigue on workers. Construction workers perform manual work such as lifting / lowering, pushing / pulling, turning, carrying and holding by exerting physical strength. This study aims to determine the relationship between the risk of work manual handling with work fatigue in the construction sector in the solo urbana residence apartment project. This research method is quantitative analytic observational with approach cross sectional. The number of samples in this study were 56 workers with the sampling technique namely purposive sampling. The results showed that as many as 51.8% of workers experienced moderate risk ofwork manual handling and as many as 69.6% of workers experienced moderate work fatigue. The results of statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) and an r value of 0.787. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant relationship between the risk of work manual handling with work fatigue and has a very strong relationship strength. It is recommended that workers carry out manual handling work naturally without over-pushing and maximize rest time while for the company to improve working conditions so that worker mobility is comfortable and provide closed drinking water for workers.
