Abstract
Research to describe the PAI teacher strategy in instilling honest and disciplined character in students and identifying the obstacles of Islamic education teachers in instilling honest and disciplined characters in students. This research is a type of field research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion.The conclusion of this study is that the strategies used by Islamic Education teachers in instilling honest and disciplined characters are a) habituation, for example, accustoming students to not cheating by randomizing questions and accustoming students to obeying rules through routine raids. b) mentoring, for example, the Islamic Personal Development program was held with 9-11 students being guided by 1 teacher. c) advice, for example when students cheat and when students do not obey rules during learning. d) exemplary, PAI teachers must be able to be role models for students by giving examples of speaking honestly and being able to obey teacher rules. The obstacles faced by Islamic Education teachers in instilling honest and disciplined character in students include the school environment, Islamic Education teachers have difficulty checking whether their students are behaving honestly or not. Because learning is held online. The solution to this is the PAI teacher will work with the parents of students.
