Abstract
Examination of blood sugar levels 2 hours PP is one of the checks to detect hyperglycemia, people with diabetes mellitus who experience hyperglycemia, will have an impact on decreasing the quality of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between glucose levels 2 hours PP with the quality of life of type 2 diabetes patients at Karanganyar Hospital. This type of research is quantitative, with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 104 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Data collection methods used a glucometer and the DQLCTQ-R (Diabetes Quality of Life Clinical Trial Questioner-Related) questionnaire. Methods of data analysis using the chi-square test with p value <0.05. The results obtained by respondents, with uncontrolled sugar levels amounted to 96 (92.3%), and controlled 8 (7.7%) from a total of 104 (100%) respondents. . The number of good quality of life is 25 (24%), and the quality of life is poor, namely 79 (76%), out of a total of 104 (100%) respondents. The results of the chi-square test showed that 2 (1.9%) of the respondents had good quality of life controlled blood sugar, and 6 (5.7%) respondents were not good enough. Respondents who were not controlled were found to be of good quality, there were 23 (22%) respondents, and poorly 73 (70%) respondents. There is a large proportion of patient respondents who experience uncontrolled blood sugar, with poor quality of life. and in control most of the sufferers experience poor quality. There is no correlation between glucose levels 2 hours PP with the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes, with a value of P <0.05 and a value of P: 0.94. The conclusion in this study there is no relationship between glucose levels 2 hours PP with the quality of life of patients with type 2 diabetes at Karanganyar Hospital.
