Abstract

The fan is a technology development that is widely used in society which is generally installed in homes, buildings, places of worship, and other buildings. The fan functions to generate a forward wind movement. Common functions are as an air conditioner, air freshener, room ventilation, and as a dryer. With the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, an Android-based cellphone system, known as a smart phone (Smartphone), has been developed. With Android, it makes it easier for developers to create various applications that can help users, for example remote controllers using Arduino. Arduino is hardware (hardware) as well as software (software) which is often used in microcontroller-based electronic prototype circuits. Applications in smartphones that can be connected to the Arduino are controllers of home electronic equipment, such as fan controllers at home. This research was made to make it easier for users to control the fan effectively and quickly. With the help of voice recognition sensors and bluetooth sensors HC-05 for sensors and using the Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller as the control center, and an application on Android as the control system. This tool can be operated using two methods, namely, first with the testing method using the human voice and secondly by the testing method using bluetooth from an application on a smartphone that previously installed an application called a sound switch which can be found on Playstore. The results obtained from testing the tool with the first method using the human voice can be as far as 0 to ± 5 meters and with the second method using bluetooth in the voice switch application on a smartphone can be as far as 0 to ± 15 meters.
