Abstract

This study aims to analyze poverty in Eastern Indonesia and the factors that influence it. The analysis method used is panel data regression with cross-section data covering 12 provinces in Eastern Indonesia, including East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, North Maluku, West Papua and Papua. While the time series data starts from 2011-2019. The independent variables used to explain the factors that influence poverty are goverment expenditure education, goverment expenditure health, investment, labor wages, labor force participation rate and ratio Gini. The results showed that goverment expenditure health and labor wages have a negtive effect on Poverty in Eastern Indonesia. Meanwhile, goverment expenditure education, investment, labor force participation rate and ratio Gini have no effect on Poverty in Eastern Indonesia.
