Abstract

Farming is currently a trend in Indonesian society. However, some people, especially urban communities, do not have large enough land to cultivate crops conventionally. So, hydroponic cultivation is an alternative. This technique uses water that contains nutrients as a planting medium. The factors that influence the hydroponic technique are pH levels and nutrient concentrations in the planting medium. So, the owner can check at least a day to ensure that the pH and plant nutrients remain stable with nutrient water and pH fluids on time. There are hydroponic plant owners who do not have enough time to carry out regular maintenance. So, the authors created an Android application-based system so that plant owners can periodically review their hydroponic plants. There is also an automatic control for the flow of nutrients and pH adjustment liquid for the planting media as needed. This tool will use the Arduino Wemos D1 as a data processor that can also send data via the internet. Wemos D1 will be connected to the SEN0161 sensor to measure the pH level of the air and SEN0244 to measure the concentration of nutrients in the air. After the sensor is read, the results will be damaged on Blynk and then the command is forwarded according to the setpoint whether the pH level and nutrient concentration (TDS) are under the needs or not. If it is not suitable, the control system will automatically open or close the relay connected to the pump in the tub containing nutrients to be mixed into the planting air medium in the planting medium tub. The research results are expected to be applied directly and in the maintenance and care of hydroponic plants.
