Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that is often referred to as the silent killer because it often occurs without complaints, so that the sufferer does not know that he has hypertension and only finds out after complications occur. To prevent these complications, hypertensive sufferers are encouraged to take hypertension control efforts. These efforts are influenced by knowledge of hypertension, attitudes in controlling hypertension, lifestyle and family support for hypertensive sufferers. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge, attitudes, lifestyle and family support for hypertension sufferers in the working area of Puskesmas Sawit Boyolali. The research design used quantitative research with descriptive survey method. Respondents in this study were 68 respondents who were selected by proportional random sampling technique. The results of this study were 57.4% of respondents had low knowledge of hypertension, 55.9% were in poor category in controlling hypertension attitude, 52.9% were not good in hypertension lifestyle. and 55.9% high in family support for hypertension control.
