Abstract
Arabic is a very special language and has a very important contribution to civilization in this world, because Arabic is the language of unity for Muslims in the world and is the language of the Koran which has amazing uslub and literature. So, MTs Negeri 2 Sukoharjo wants to become one of the madrasas that wants to contribute more in developing Arabic among students by holding Muhadatsah learning in its learning curriculum. This study discusses the effectiveness of Muhadatsah learning in an effort to improve Arabic speaking skills at the Superior Program at MTs Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Muhadatsah learning, as well as to determine the extent of the effectiveness of Muhadatsah learning in the Superior Program at MTs Negeri 2 Sukoharjo.This research is a qualitative research using field studies at MTs Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. The technique of collecting data is through observation, interviews, and documentation from various parties in the madrasah. The analysis of this research uses the deductive method, which starts with a theory and ends with a special phenomenon or thing. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, the researchers concluded that Muhadatsah learning was applied using the direct method (direct method) and applied with 4 techniques, namely Al-Hifdzu, Isti'malu al-Kalimat fi Jumal, Lauhatu al-Kalimat (Word Chart) , and Al-Ta'alum al-Hamisyi (Peripheral Learning), and applied with three learning materials, namely first, conversation material by means of students making conversational texts according to the theme given by the teacher, second, speech material by means of students memorizing speech text and practice it in front of the class, and third, song material or singing in a way that students and teachers look for the vocabulary meaning of the song lyrics sung. Muhadatsah learning has proven to be effective in improving Arabic speaking skills in the 9PK1, 9PK2, and 8PK1 classes, based on the percentage of student results which shows that more than 75% of the total number of students in each class are able to score above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria), namely 74.
