Abstract

Tawangmangu Subdistrict is experiencing increasingly severe land damage. Many forests have changed their function as agricultural land as well as tourism objects. Changes in land use patterns will give rise to a phenomenon where one land use is sacrificed for another. This study has two objectives, namely: to determine the distribution pattern description and to analyze the factors of changes in land use change in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency in 2013 and 2019. in this study is secondary data sourced from the Geospatial Information Agency and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This research method uses quantitative research with a survey method. Methods of data analysis using Spatial Overlay analysis for land use change, descriptive analysis to describe the factors of land use change, and analysis of paired sample t test to analyze land use change data through land conversion factors. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of land use change in Tawangmangu District is a cluster pattern. This pattern is influenced by changes in factors of population size, population density, population growth rate and economic facilities. The land use change factor in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency in 2013 and 2019 was significantly influenced by the population factor, while the population density factor, population growth and economic facilities did not affect land use changes.
