Abstract

The world is currently facing a global medical emergency unprecedented in modern history, namely the pandemic Covid-19. This virus appears to have no boundaries and is constantly moving around the world. The Indonesian government announced on 2 March 2020 there were 2 cases for the first time. The Covid-19 rate in Indonesia is high in Southeast Asia. Central Java is one of the highest in Indonesia after DKI Jakarta and East Java. The Mayor of Surakarta, FX Rudiyatmo, appointed Surakarta to the Coronavirus Extraordinary Event category for the first time on March 14, 2020. This study aims to determine how the spatiotemporal distribution of the Covid-19 hotspot, as well as to find out the relationship between public transportation centers (bus terminals, stations and airports) and the number of confirmed positive Covid-19 in the former Surakarta Residency. This research method uses quantitative methods from secondary data from Covid-19. Hotspot Analysis (Getis-Ord Gi *) to find out the location of hotspots for the Covid-19 Case, then Spatiotemporal is made with the aim of whether the hotspot location changes from time to time. Regression Analysis to try to analyze the relationship between the distance between the center of public transportation and the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19. The results of this study indicate that the hotspot of the Covid-19 spread is in the middle of the Surakarta Ex-Residency area and from time to time it is getting smaller and concentrated in the Surakarta City area. The regression results also show a coefficient of determination of 0.278, which means that the effect of the variable distance to transportation facilities on the variable number of positive confirmed Covid-19 is 27.8%. The regression coefficient of -47.318 shows that if the distance to transportation facilities increases by 1%, the positive confirmed value of Covid-19 will increase by -47.318%. In line with the research hypothesis, the closer the distance to transportation means, the higher the positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 and the farther the distance to transportation means, the less the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19.
