Abstract

This research was conducted at Kopen Educational Tourism Village. The objective of this research is to find out the management of tourism villages in Kopen Village in the perspective of community based tourism (CBT), applied financial management, community participation, economic impacts, opportunities, challenges, obstacles, strengths, and weaknesses of tourism village management. . The research design was a qualitative descriptive study using observation, interview, and documentation data collection techniques. Data analysis techniques using data analysis model Miles and Huberman. The technique of checking the validity of the data used the triangulation method. It was found that the application of CBT existed in several dimensions, namely political, social, cultural, environmental and economic, but the implementation was not yet optimal. Ways to improve the community's economy according to the CBT concept are maintaining the waste bank program and climate village, community improvement, and supporting community business results. The positive impact of the Kopen Education Tourism Village is increasing community participation, improving the quality of life, cultural exchanges, environmental education for the community, and opening job opportunities.
