Abstract
Jebres Subdistrict, Surakarta City, is a sub-district that is passed by several rivers and some factories located in the immediate area. Besides, there are several locations close to the railroad tracks. This condition causes the potential for slum settlements so that it affects the quality of the settlement. The high population growth in the area is also below the quality of settlements and the comfort to live in that area. The development that is increasingly numerous and developing, but the limited land conditions have resulted in the level of quality decreasing and vulnerable to slum settlements. This study aims to analyze the level of settlement environment and to analyze the factors that influence the quality of the settlement environment. The method used is a tiered quantitative GIS analysis with scoring and scoring in each metering unit or block. The frequency table method is a method for determining the most influential factors where the greatest value of the parameter is the factor that affects the level of settlement quality. The results of this study are a map of the level of settlement quality which consists of 3 classes, namely class III, class II, class II, and class I, class poor. Although the level of settlement quality is evenly distributed with a moderate level of settlement quality because the factor that most influences the density of the settlement and the width of the entrance to the settlement, the second factor is getting better, so the comfort to live in is also getting better and affects the quality of existing settlements.
