Abstract

Education is an activity that aims to improve the quality of the nation. Education includes several activities that can occur in the classroom and outside environment. Practicum is an important part of learning science. The success of this practicum must be supported by several factors, including teacher competence in the science learning process, laboratory management. Practicum is an activity that can improve students' skills and as a means of practicing in using equipment. Laboratory is a place where experiment and research activities are carried out. This place can be a closed room, room or open space. In science / biology learning, students do not only listen to the learning given by the teacher of certain subjects. The policies carried out by the two schools involve several roles, namely the principal, vice principal, curriculum, biology subject teacher and infrastructure. The implementation of SOPs at SMA N 1 Ceper Klaten and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten was not implemented properly so that it became an obstacle that occurred during practicum activities at the Biology Laboratory.
