Abstract
The Shuttlecock Industry in Serangan District is an industrial center for making shuttlecocks which have been well known. Since 1970. the Serengan area has been known as a producer of shuttlecocks, The difficulties and challenges faced by entrepreneurs are all the same, namely raw materials. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sustainability of the Shuttlecock industry in the Serengan District. The purpose of this research is to analyze the sustainability of the Shuttlecock industry in Serengan District and to analyze what strategies must be taken to be able to maintain the Shuttlecock industry in Serengan District. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The sampling technique used in this method was purposive sampling, including non-random sampling techniques. The data collection method used interviews with a questionnaire. Data processing techniques using editing, coding, tabulation. The result of this research is the shuttlecock industry. The average age of entrepreneurs in the Shuttlecock Industry in Serengan District is 32 men, 23 women, on average they do not have high education. The initial capital borrowed from the bank, for production. The raw materials for making Shuttlecocks are Chicken Feather, Dop (Cork), Yarn, Glue / Fox. Shuttlecock prices between entrepreneurs are the same, namely 75,000 - 85,000 thousand perusing Shuttlecock's marketing reach now covers East Java and Central Java, West Java. For the East Java area, marketing covers the City of Surabaya with 14 entrepreneurs, Nganjuk 2 entrepreneurs, while for the Central Java area, Solo City is 6 entrepreneurs, Semarang 10 entrepreneurs, Wonosobo 4 entrepreneurs, and Cilacap 3 entrepreneurs, for the West Java area the marketing term is Bandung City 10 entrepreneurs, Bogor 4 entrepreneurs, Ciamis 2 entrepreneurs. The sustainability of the shuttlecock industry is that the number of Shuttlecock production per month can produce 500 dozen 10 entrepreneurs, 600 dozen 19 entrepreneurs, 700 dozen 5 entrepreneurs, 800 dozen 12 entrepreneurs, 900 dozen 5 entrepreneurs, 1000 dozen 4 entrepreneurs, with a monthly income of 1-20 million 12 entrepreneurs, 21-40 million 25 entrepreneurs, 60-100 million 10 entrepreneurs, 100 million and over 8 entrepreneurs. Strategy to Maintain the Shuttlecock Industry using the 4P strategy, namely Product (product) Strategy to maintain Shuttlecock Craft Products to add size variants, shape variants, and also packaging variants. The most important thing is the quality of the product and creating a new design or trademark to attract consumers. Place (place) To start a business, first select the most appropriate place of business for business marketing. Do your research and compare several choices of places before finally determining the most strategic location for your business. The shuttlecock business, it is strategic because it is close to the city. The price for Shuttlecock among Shuttlecok entrepreneurs is the same because they do not want to damage the existing market prices in Serengan District. Promotion through social media, namely through the Facebook marketplace and print media (Koran) to reach more local markets.
