Abstract

This study aims to describe the religious characters in the story line, the dialogue of the players, the appearance of the pictures in the following Surau and Silek films fpr PPKn learning media for the material of God Almighty. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection methods use documentation and literature study. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis, the validity of which was content analysis triangulation. The indicators in this study include pious deeds, have faith and piety, trust, tawakal, have facilities for worship in the story line, the dialogue of the prayers, and the appearance of images in the film. The result obtained can be concluded that: 1) The religious character in thee storyline of the film can be seen from the beginning of the story to the end of the story which shows behavior and habits of doing godly, faithful and pious deeds, trustworthiness, tawakal and has facilities for worship, 2) Religious character in the dialogue of the players in the film Surau and Silek, it can be seen from the conversations carried out by the actors in the film which show pious, faithful and pious deeds, trustworthiness, tawakal and show the existence of facilities for worship, 3) Religious characters in the film image display of Surau and Silek can seen in the scene and related to the picture shown, its shows pious, faithful and pious deeds, trustworthiness, laughter and has facilities for worship, 4) The religious character in the film Surau and Silek can be used as a learning media for PPKn SMP/MTs class VII, the material of God Almighty because it is in accordance with KI (Core Competency) and KD (Basic Competence) in class VII PPKn SMP/MTs subjects.
