Abstract

Changes in the use of agricultural land to non-agricultural in Baki District have occurred in several parts of the region. It is important to know the spatial analysis of the changes in relation to future spatial planning to maintain the food needs provided by agricultural land. The purpose of this study is to analyze the extent of changes in agricultural land use in Baki District in 2013 and 2020, and to assess the carrying capacity of agriculture in Baki District. Researchers conducted research through purposive sampling with analysis using the overlay method and secondary data analysis. The results of this research indicate that the use of paddy fields in the Baki area in the last 7 years has decreased by 176.689 ha. Land use in the Baki area in 2013 was dominated by paddy fields covering an area of 1467,984 ha (60.59%), while in 2020 the area of use of paddy fields has decreased which was transferred with an increase in non-rice land use covering an area of 1131,540 ha (46.70%). ). Then the value and condition of the paddy soil is classified as less with a value of τ <1, it can be said that changes in land area have no effect on the carrying capacity of the paddy soil.
